The Butter and Cheese Factory Managers’ Associations’ superintendent stated that from July last to date the butter exported from Victoria was 9456 tons, as compared with 14,567 tons in the previous corresponding period. There had been a falling off in quality as well as quality. The proportion of superfine butter had decreased from 34 per cent, to 29 per cent.
