Progressives strongly oppose the proposal to sell the freeholds of Holborn, Strand, and Westminster improvements to the State. Mr AY. Hayes Fisher states' that £200,000 is spent annually in interest on unlet land. The apparatus of the A Yorks Department had already been sold at a heavy loss.
