RIVER IMPROVEMENT WANTED

WAIROA, May 20. It is stated that .wealthy and influentiol interests in Wairoa have offered to put down half the cost of freezing works at 'Wairoa if- the farmers will take the question up of the Wairoa Harbor Bill, .authorising a loan of £78,000 for rivet' imm-ovements. -I he Bill lias been lodged at the Courthouse with the necessary- plans. Ibe reclamation possibly aggregates ovei 800 acres.
