HAWKE’S BAY PROVINCIAL CONFERENCE.

HASTINGS, May 21. The annual Hawke’s Bay Provincial Conference of the Farmers’ Union was held at Hastings to-day. Those, presbnt included delegates from four branches. In the address of Air. H. AI. ’Sanders, who was president in the early part of the. past year, complaint was 'mado of the high price for shearing lambs, and it was stated that, as a consequent#:, there had not been so many lambs shorn as usual. The conference. discussed various matters, anti It was resolved, among other things, that the time -had come when a system of universal military training should be adopted.
