TWO PAVILIONS DESTROYED

OAMARU, May 24. A number of mysterious fires have recently occurred in Oamaru, and two more of the same character happened this evening. . The fire brigade were called to a fire about two miles out ot town, which totally destroyed the Caledonian Society’s pavilion, and when there the firebell sounded for a fire which; totally destroyed the Phoenix Bowling Club pavilion. The contents, as well as the .buildings, were destroyed. The loss to the bowling! club is about £290. There were small insurances.
