DINNER MATCH

Advantage was taken ot the holiday yesterday to get in a full day’s play. In the morning - a dinner match was played between teams chosen by the captain (Mr J. H. Bull) and the lion, secretary (Mr T. H. W. Traill). Gieat interest was taken in the in ft ton, as the losers had to pay for the dinnci. Messrs Clare and Son did the catering, which left nothing to be desired, and the tables, as laid out in the pavilion at 1 o'clock, amply rewarded the players for the strenuous work put m during the morning.
