DINNER MATCH
Advantage was taken ot the holiday yesterday to get in a full day’s play. In the morning - a dinner match was played between teams chosen by the captain (Mr J. H. Bull) and the lion, secretary (Mr T. H. W. Traill). Gieat interest was taken in the in ft ton, as the losers had to pay for the dinnci. Messrs Clare and Son did the catering, which left nothing to be desired, and the tables, as laid out in the pavilion at 1 o'clock, amply rewarded the players for the strenuous work put m during the morning. The following were the results ot the dinner match, which was played between teams chosen by the captain and secretary, anil unicli was won by the narrow margin of one game by the secretary s side, the cap tain’s side being mentioned first: Dodgslnin and Keiha, all square; Chi reside heat W.
