John Eden Savile, an Australian, residing at Stamford, Lincolnshire,' has been committed for trial at Meath assizes on a charge of feloniously shooting at Charles Uniacke, of Dunboyne. It is alleged that a quarrel arose over Savile’s libels about Airs. Uniacke. A revolver was pointed at the prosecutor; a struggle ensued, and the shot u ent off. Savile was compelled to sign a confession withdrawing his statements and apologising.
