FIRE AT BLENHEIM.

OLD MEN’S HOME DESTROYED

BLENHEIM, May 25

Yesterday afternoon the Old Men’s Home, conducted by Mrs McKenna, was totally destroyed by fire. The inmates, numbering eleven, were all rescued, one of them, wdio was in bed, having to be dragged out by the girls in the house. Practically nothing was, saved. The home, which consisted of thirteen rooms, was insured for £2OO in the Liverpool, London, and Globe, and the furniture for £IOO in the same office. Mrs McKenna is a heavy loser.
