The Presbytetrian Assembly discussed Mr Justice Hodge’s remarks on the Ronald v. Harper case. The Rev. Mr Tait declared the judge’s ruling was a serious matter, as it meant interference with religious liberty. A general debate on the Church’s relations to authority and the jurisdiction of the civil law followed, but was adjourned.
