United Press Asspciation— Copyright

LONDON, May 26

The “Daily Mail’s” New York correspondent states that May wheat is quoted at os per bushel. Short selling has practically ceased. Armour has given up the struggle. It is believed that Patten’s holding for May is small, and that he has transferred speculative holdings to July and September options, on which the struggle will soon begin.

(Received May 27, 5.20 pan.) LONDON, May 27
