The Hon. Jas. Cam-oil, accompanied by his private secretary. Mr. Gordon, left for South by the s.s. Waikare last night. The Rev. W. Lamb returned' from Auckland by tlie s.s. Waikare yesterday afternoon. »•’ On Friday afternoon a pleasing little function took place in Messrs Common, Shelton and Co.’s office, when Mr. J. B. Kells, on behalf of the staff, presented Mr. J. Granin, who lias resigned from, the service of the firm, with' a silver watch, as a slight token of the respect in which ho was held. Mr. Cramp left by the Victoria on Saturday on rente for Hamilton, where he enters the ’ AVaikato Farmers’ Co-oper-ative Company. Miss Stewart, late matron of The Gisborne Hospital, left for Auckland .Pii .3
