THE FLOUR MILLERS’ ASSOCIATION.
THE QUESTION OF CONTINUANCE
[Per Press Association.]
CHRISTCHURCH, May 29
The “Press” states that a meeting of the New Zealand 1 Flour millers’ Association was held last night to com sider the question of continuing the organisation. The agreement among the different firms concerned expired three months ago, but it was decided to continue until the end of this month, when the question of tho renewal of the compact would be discussed. It is understood that the attitude of a southern firm presented difficulties to its continuance under present conditions, but there is the greatest reticence as to whether the obstacles thus created were overcome by the deliberations of the representatives present at the proceedings last night.
