ATTACK ON GOVERNMENT OFFICES.

LIMA, May 31
A mob, headed by a politican named Pierola, attacked the Government offices at Lima, conveyed President Leguia to the .public square, and attempted to compel him to resign. .Loyalist troops rescued him, and fired a volley into the mob, killing forty. Order has been restored.
