General Botha and Mr. J. O. Smuts secured at the Het Volk Congress tho rejection of reactionary demands on behalf of the Dutch Church, seeking to regain control of the schools, also attempting to (require a bilingual qualification for all officials with the view of superseding British officials. Mr. J. H. Hoffmeyer has been invited to join the deputation conveying the South African draft Constitution to London.
