THE WEATHER
The following is the Rev. D. C. Bates’ general weather forecast: —A westerly area- of low pressure is now approaching tllie South Island; and ifeyfe unsettled and stormy weather is pr°b bable, particularly south of New Plymouth and Castlepoint. hortherly winds, strong to gale, are probable m the South, and moderate to strong from the same direction soon elsewhere, Barometer falling everywhere, especially in the southern districts, where the lowest reading may be expected on the 3rd inst.
CHRISTCHURCH, June 1-Intel-viewed to-night Mr. Clement Wragge said the disturbance Buddo is at present on its way between Tasmania and New Zealand. It is certain to cause very heavy weather m the tasman Sea, and when it strikes New Zealand will affect the whole of the Dominion. Ngata, another disturbance, should arrive on June 13th.
