THE ACCUSED ACQUITTED

AUCKLAND, June 9. In the Supreme Court to-day. the trial was concluded of Joseph Griffiths, charged with manslaughter in causing the death of a man named Maros, who wasi alleged to have been struck on the head with a bottle. The jury returned a verdict of not guilty, and the prisoner was discharged.
