United Press Association —Copyiuciii

(Received Juno 13, 5.30 p.m.)

SYDNEY, June 12. About 10,000 persons were, present at the football match. The game was not conspicuous for brilliancy. The All Racks lost the services of J. Spencer, through an accident, House filling his place. The All Blacks’ tackling showed a great improvement on their previous displays, but there was evident stalencss on both sides. The local players showed a want of combination. The visitors had decidedly the best of the game in the first half, and obtained three tries, none of which were converted. In. the second spell Australia attacked with vigor, and levelled matters with a try, which was converted. The good combination of the All Blacks, however, put them in the lead again with 14 to 8. Australia next added a try, and then immediately were kept ou tlie defensive almost to the end of tho spoil. The AH Blacks scored another try with the added points, and tho local men failing to increase their score, the whistle sounded with the score: New Zealand 19, Australia 11. [The team has now played four matches, won one, and lost three.] N
