SYDNEY, Before the Newcastle Collieries’ Board, counsel for the proprietors, applying for one in place of many Wages Boards, stated that Newcastle is losing much coal trade owing to industrial turmoil, and instanced a contract for a million tons lost. Japan had secured an order for 60,000 tons which had always previously com© to Newcastle, and much of the trade with South America had fallen off.
