THE MATCH WITH NAPIER. The visit of tho Napier team on the 26th inst. is causing the local cracks to get into form, and some good rounds have been done lately. J. W. Cliirnsido, who appears to improve with every game, did a fine round of 84 on Friday, reeling off the first nine holes in the exceptionally good score of 30, and taking 48 for the run home. Pare Keiha, G. Al. Dodgsh'un. F. Traill, J. H. Bull, and Geoff. Willoek are also in good form at present, and the local club should be able to put a strong team in the field against tho visitors. McCormack, the professional coach from Auckland, has been busily engaged since his arrival on Wednesday last, and has engagements hooked already for a fortnight ahead. His coaching is highly spoken, of, and the action of the committee in engaging his services is appreciated by the members of the club.
