A KECHABITE PROTEST

PALMERSTON N., June 23. .\ meeting of Reehabites in the proposed new sub-district resolved “That this meeting expresses an indignant, protest against granting licenses in the Kino/ Country for the sale of alcoholic liquors, the same being a flagrant contravention of tlie treaty entered into with the Maoris.”
