DELEGATES IN SCOTLAND. BANQUETS AND SPEECHES. United Press Association —Copyright. ■(Received June 24, 9.45-p.m.) LONDON, June 24. . The Students' Union at Edinburgh. University entertained the press dole■gates at breakfast. Many colonials were present. Thence the party went : to Edinburgh Castle and Holyrood. "Lord Provost Gibson presided at the ' Corporation luncheon, where Mr. Mark i Cbhen (Dunedin "Star”) thanked the : city, and commented on the fact of : Dunedin deriving its name from Edini burgh. Mr. H. Berkeley (Newcastle "Herald”) said that Australia was languishing for lack of immigrants and proI'gress in life. Tn the afternoon the delegates viewed rthe "Scotsman’s” offices, and attended Mr. John Findlay's (proprietor of the "Scotsman”) garden party at Morton Hall. They spent the evening in the marine gardens at Portobello. Mr. Mark Cohen visited Musselburgh, and presented a New Zealand -/lag to the children of the town.
