MAKING A FALSE DECLARATION. {Per Prkbs Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, June 25. A man named James Weston pleaded guilty in the Magistrate’s Court to-day to a, charge of making a false declaration to obtain a marriage certificate, he being at the time already married. Ho was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. NATIONAL DAIRY SHOW. PALMERSTON N-, June 25. There was a large attendance at the concluding day of the show. For the four days there was an attendance of 21»U00, 'including 3500 school children admitted free. A BURGLAR SENTENCED. AUCKLAND, June 25. A young man named Henry Williams, found at midnight loaded with gelignite and burglar’s tools, was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment. HARBOR RECLAMATION WORKS. WELLINGTON. June 25. Subject to it being in order, the Wellington Harbor Board accepted the tender of C. F. Pulley for a concrete seawall and culvert extension at Waterloo Quay reclamation works. The amount of expenditure involved is about £35,000. CHARGES OF THEFT. James Malachi Sheridan was sentenced to-day to six months’ imprisonment on seven charges of thefts from unoccupied buildings.
