A SCOW SINKS
A MAN BELIEVED TO BE DROWNED.
[Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, July 2
The .scow Flora filled and sank off the railway wharf early this morning. The captain and two men took to the nigging, while a man known as “Scotty” started to swim ashore for assistance.. Scotty has not been seen or heard of since. It is feared he has been drowned. The captain and the other two men were rescued. Later. The name of the man ‘"Scotty,” who is thought to have been drowned in connection with the capsize of the scow Flora, is Frederick Clark.
