FEDERATED UNIONS’ CONGRESS. OPENED AT BLACKPOOL. United Press Association —Copyright (Received July 2, 11.55 p.m.) LONDON, July 2. Mr, Pete Curran . (Labor M.P. for Durham) commissioner at the opening of the Federated Trade Unions’ Congress at Blackpool, recommended a failtrial of the Government labor -exchange scheme.
Mr. J. A. Seddon (Labo-r M.P. for Lancashire) eulogised the miners for settling their differences with the employers, and added that the sooner ’Trade Unions outside the Federation joined the better, as it would enable, the concentrated capital in the Federation to meet the. .attack of organised capital outside.
