ROWING

POVERTY BAY CLUB. A committee meeting of the Poverty Bay Rowing Club was held last evening at the Cosmopolitan Club, Mr. J. Webb (captain) presiding. There was 'a full attendance of members. It was decided to hold a social on the 15tb inst., at which; the prizes won during the. season will be presented. The secretary was instructed to write to Mr. George Norton, of Wellington, for tations for new boats. It was decided to call a special general meeting of the club for Monday,'l2th inst., to consider financial arrangements for erecting a new club-house, and make 'final preparations for the social.
