In opening the science building erected .at St. Paul’s School, to .commemorate the fourth centenary of the school, Lord Curzon referred to the manner in which the school had, of late years, responded to the requirements of the period, and strongly deprecated the spirit of pessimism and self-depre-cation current among ourselves at the present time. [St. Paul’s School was founded by Dean Colet in 1509.]
