The ground was rather greasy for the dogs to do their best work, but despite that, the coursing was good. The results of the New Zealand Waterloo Cup fourths round were: Scottish Chief beat Millbank. Keighery’s Gift beat Golden Chief. Starlight beat Admiration. Royal Artillery—a bye. —Semi-Final.— Mrs. A. Aitkin’s (Dunedin) f and V d Scottish Chief (Duke McPherson—-Ace of Diamonds); beat Schauer and Fitzgerald’s (Wellington) r d Royal Atillery (Danger Signal—Hilda Maxim). W. H. and B. Smith’s (Christchnrch) r d Starlight (Black Tracker —Lavender Water); beat Mrs. A. Aitkin’s (Dunedin) b and w d Keighery’s Gift (Andy Flanagan—Act of Diamonds). The owners of Scottish Chief and Starlight agreed to divide. The third round of the Waterloo' Purse resulted: — Wolfe’s Schnapps beat Fardowner. Allover beat Footlight. Jovial was allowed a bye by Czarina. Screw Gun —a bye. —Semi-Final.— Wolfe’s Schnapps beat Jovial. Screw Gun beat Allover. .—Final. — G. G. Todd’s (Christchurch) blk and w d Screw Gun (Jewel Gun Esperanza): beat WV Mapletoff s (Inveicai-o-ill) blk and w d Wolfe’s Schnapps (Gold .Link— Fanny Parnell).
