A small ' consignment of unfrozen Australian rabbits, killed a year ago, and preserved by a process invented by Mr. Wm. McLeod Ivean, (proved sound and eatable. Briefly, Mr. Kean’s process is the removal of the spinal niarrowAafter which the. carcase is washed ar 'pried. Rabbits -are also preservable moist, in which case they' are packed in barrels, and either .process, it is claimed, will keep them indefinitely. The scheme is considered as a solution of : the rabbit difficulty, inasmuch as carcases can be preserved in. any part of the country, irrespective of distance, from the railway, and t&rppod direct to London.
