ROWING.
POVERTY BAY CLUB. A special meeting of the Poverty Bay Rowing Club ■was held last night at the Cosmopolitan Club to consider ways and means for the erection of a new club-house. There was a good attendance. It wan resolved .that members be written to asking them to pay a year’s subscription an advance, and in addition it was decided that the club issues; debentures. Mr. J. R. Kirk was appointed solicitor to the club. The question of the coming dance on cl a v was discussed. Messrs W. Webb ail'd W. Hall were appointed M.C.’s, and Mrs. Pritchard will (provide the. music, and the secretary announced that Mr. J. R. Kirk had consented to distribute the trophies won during the season.
