Brodeur, the Canadian delegate, will bring to the Defence Conference a. settled scheme f A a Canadian navy, consisting of five /ffst-class cruisers, ten destroyers, and ten torpedo vessels. Till Canada possesses dockyards and arsenals the necessary orders will he placed in England. The article adds that Canada is .opposed to contributing a Dreadnought .or contributing money, because she is suspicious that under a Radical-Socialist British Government such contributions will be no real increase to the naval -strength of the Empire.!
