UNDEVELOPED TAX CRITICISED. UNGOTTEN MINERALS TAX TO BE ‘DROPPED. United Press Association —Copyright LONDON, July 12. The Surveyors’ Association severely •condemns the undeveloped tax, which will force land upon the market before, lit is wanted. The Liverpool Law Society has (prepared a memorandum showing the enormous cost of making valuations. Sir Charles Dilke, at a miners’ demonstration at Forest of Dean, stated that the un-gotten minerals 1 duty will be dropped. He objected to the substitution of a t'iX on royalties, and preferred that mines -should be taxed as undeveloped ■i. land.
