AMALGAMATION OF COMPANIES.
-IRONWORKS IN ENGLAND. NECESSITATED BY FOREIGN COMPETITION. United Press Association —Copyiiigut. LONDON, July 13. Several Wokington iron companies and Cumberland properties belonging to Oanimell and Laird have been amalgamated, with a capital of £2,000,000 and employing 7000 men. Mr Randles, M.P., states that foreign competition necessitated the amalgamation.
