GENERAL LABORERS' AWARD. [Per Press Association.! CHRISTCHURCH, July 15. The award in the general laborers' dispute was filed to-day. It provides for the following rate of wages: Tunnel works, council men, and timber men. Is 3d per hour; building workmen in charge of derricks, scaffolds, and those in attendance on bricklayers. Is Old per hour. In Timaru and within a radius of seven miles from the Timaru post office, the minimum specified shall be paid to all hod-carriers instead of to those in attendance on bricklayers. All other general laborers Is iper hour. Mr. J. R. Triggs, Conciliation Commissioner,, leaves on Monday for tlio south to hear a dispute that has arisen between the men employed on the •sluicing and dredging claims in Otago and their employers. The first sitting of the Conciliation Council to deal with the matter will be held at* Gore on Wednesday," July 21st. OTAGO TAILORS' DISPUTE SETTLED. DUNEDIN, July 15.
