The Tyser liner Nerehana completed her loading yesterday morning, and .sailed for Wellington. The U.S.S. Co.’s Tarawera, almost a day late arrived from Napier at 1.30 a.m. yesterday. The launch tendered her iat 6 a.m. with the outward passengers, and transferred the inward passengers. Owing to the silted state of the river, the vessel was unable to enter the channel on the return journey , until the tide rose, and the passengers were not landed until noon. The Tarawera left for Auckland at 11 a.m., and . returns from there on Sunday afternoon. The U.S.S. Co.’s Flora is due to-mor- ■ row from Napier and southern ports, and will sail for Coast bays and Auek- : land in the evening. . The U.S.S. Co.’s Squall, which ar- .■ rived from Auckland on Wednesday afternoon, is still anchored in the hay, , her skipper, Captain Benton, deeming i it inadvisable, with the channel as it ; Iras been, to come in. She will probably come in this afternoon, and is expected to get away for Auckland tomorrow night with a full load of sheep. The U.S.S.
