THE FIGHTING AT TEHERAN.
SHAH’S TROOPS ARRIVE AND SHELL PARLIAMENT BUILDINGS.

‘ T-welvo were killed when defending the northern gate of Teheran against Hie entry., -of the Nationalists. The 'latter’s welcome was enthusiastic. They enrolled and armed 3000 of the population.
The Nationalist leader declares that 'they are loyal to the Shah, and only come to re-establish the constitution. The Persian Cossacks have concentrated a . brigade, at headquarters, around which they posted guns. Both sides profess to he on tho defensive, hut considerable firing is proceeding down the side, streets. The Russian flag has been hoisted on 'tho residence of the Russian Consul. The entire northern portion of the city is in the hands of Nationalists. There, are 800 Russian troops at 'Zazvin, able, if summoned, to enter Teheran in three days. The Shah’s failure to send envoyc before sunset on Monday, empowered to negotiate an arrangement, led to a -rupture of the pourparlers. The Shah Is now at Sultanabad.
The fight at Teheran lasted all Tuesday night. The Nationalists captured a position near the house of Colonel Lakhoff, commander of a brigade of Cossacks. Finally they captured part of the Cossacks’ position. The laltc-r 'arc now shelling the Nationalists. The Shah’s troops have arrived from Sultanabad, and arc shelling Parliament buildings. Nationalists have complained to Consuls of the Governments that the Cossacks are firing from the shelter qf the Russian flag on Colonel Lakhofl’s house. SHAH’S TROOPS ASK FOR TERMS OF SURRENDER. MOVEMENTS OF RUSSIAN WARSHIPS. (Received July 15, 10.40 p.m.) TEHERAN, July 15. Tho secretary of the Russian Legation at Teheran, on behalf of Colonel LiakhofF, commander of the Shah’s forces and the Persian Cossacks, asked for terms of surrender. The Nationalists’ commander replied that if they would relinquish their-arms the officers would be set free and the alien permitted to serve in tho Constitutional forces of the Government. All Russian warships on tho Caspian -Sea -have gone to Persian waters.
