A LENGTHY SITTING. MEMBERS FREQUENTLY ASLEEP. United Press Association —Copyright. LONDON, July 15. The Ho-use of Commons sat for 18$ Fours. Ministers and members were frequently asleep. A small body of Unionists continued a relentless criticism of the Budget. Mr Lloyd-George proposed the closure at 32 lines of the Bill, but Mr Emmott, the Chairman, refused to accept the motion. .Finally several blocks were wiped out to the end of clause 5. The Imperial Maritime League is promoting a widespread system of petition to the House of Lords to reject the Finance Bill, and compel a dissolution on that and the question of defence.
