PERSONAL.

Mr. C. E. Armstrong. Public Works Engineer for the Gisbornc-Rotorua railway, is visiting Frascrtowm to inspect the new post office and bridge that arc being erected there by the Public Works Department. The Rev. Father Ormond, for some time has been assisting the Rev. Father Lane in Gisborne, has been appointed curate at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Auckland, and will probably leave Gisborne about the end of the month to take up his duties in his new sphere. Mr. J. J. Fry, who has been suffering from blood-j)oisoning for several days, was last night reported to be slightly better. Mr:‘L. O. Ingram, who has been in a private hospital for a fortnight suffering from rheumatic trouble, is progressing satisfactorily towards complete recovery.
