A CLAIM OF £20,000 COMMISSION. LORD ALVERSTONE’S DECISION. United Pres* Ashochtion —Copyright.LONDON, July 18. .Lawford, a solicitor, of Tunbridge Wells, has sued Armstrong, Whitworth and Company for £20,000, commission at 2£ per cent, upon the Commonwealth mail ships’ contract. Plaintiff stated that he proposed the scheme to Mr Deakin in 1905. After his approval he approached Armstrong’s. Lord Alverstone decided that there was no case to go to a jury.
