THE ADANA MASSACRES.
PERPETRATORS PUNISHED. LOCAL AUTHORITIES CENSURED. United Press Association—Copyright (Received July 19, 10.20 p.m.) CONSTANTINOPLE, July 19. The court martial appointed to deal with the perpetrators of the Adana massacres censures the local authorities, and states that 15 of those guilty have already been hanged,- that 800 deserve death, 1500 hard labor) for life, and 8000 minor sentences. The Court adds, “If it is decided to proceed to punishment, we will draw a cordon round the town and deal expeditiously,” hut in view of the general reconciliation it recommends an amnesty.
