PETROLEUM
HADLEY COMPANY SAID TO HAVE struck: oil. (Per Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, July 19. A report on reliable, but unofficial, authority reached town to-night that the Hadley Petroleum Company struck oil this evening in their bore on Carrington road. The show of oil at the Oil and Freehold Company’s bore is improving, and the daily flow from the Taranaki Petroleum Company’s No. 2 bore shows no sign of diminishing. The indications of the permanency of the industry have never been so promising.
