THE MANGAPAPA ASHORE AT

KARAMEA

(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, July 20. The steamer Mangapapa went ashore at the south spit, Karamea, to-day. She is laden with timber, and has several passengers, including four ladies, for Westport. The Post Office has received information that the steamer Mangapapa is ashore on the south spit at Karamea. She leit Karamea at noon with a load of timber and several passengers for Westport. It is expected she will he able to land them this afternoon. The sea is heavy, and the weather unfavorable. [The Mangapapa is a small wooden, vessel of 147 tons, and was built in 1902.] „
