FIGHT BETWEEN MOORS AND SPANIARDS. LONDON, July 20. Five thousand Moors attacked Stalayou. They were repulsed with a loss of 300. The Spanish casualties totalled 28; NORFOLK. ISLAND. NORFOLK ISLAND, July 21. A Bill has been introduced which provides that the Island is to be a territory. The Executive continues its existence, but may be altered or abolished by ordinance. Customs duties are not chargeable on the products or manufactures of the Island shipped direct to Australia.

Mr. S. C. Buxton, Postmaster-Gen-eral, in reply to Mr. Henniker Heaton,, said that he regretted his inability, under existing circumstances to introduce a Bill to assimilate.colonial newspapers with those published in Britain, in the matter of registration, so as to enable them to be re-posted at a moderate postage rate to persons in the United Kingdom.
IMPERIAL CRICKET INFERENCE
The Imperial Cricket Conference has adopted a scheme for a triangular contest, and will submit it to the colonies with a recommendation that it appears to be workable. SOUTH AFRICAN CONFERENCE. (Received Julv 21, 11.20 p.m.) LONDON, July 2L Earl Crewe, Secretary of State for the Colonies, opened the South. African Conference at the Foreign Office. The whole Bill was read, clause by clause, the Government delegates suggesting minor amendments, which were accepted. The discussion on the native protectorates schedule was adjourned.
