IN NO DANGER

[Per Press Association.] WESTPORT, July 21. Tlxe Manga,papa, with mails, passengers and cargo, left Karamea at noon yesterday for Westport. In steaming up the tortuous channel she got on the South Spit, just inside the entrance, and there stuck. There were about 20 passengers, including several ladies, aboard, but they were landed safely. The vessel is not in a dangerous position, being affected merely by the swell from the sea, with no breakers. It was expected that she would be -got back into the channel on to-day’s high tide.
