POSSIBLES v. PROBABLES. Owing to several of the players not attending, it was found impossible to play the match, and those players who were- there indulged' in some iisciu practice. LADIES’ MATCH—GISBORNE 3 v. PATUTAHI 1-. A return match between the ladies’ clubs of Gisborne and Patutahi took place on No. 2 ground at the Victoria Domain -yesterday afternoon. The Gisborne ladies had the host of the game throughout, hut the" Patutahi ladies, made occasional incursions into their opponents’ circle. In the first spell Misses V. Walters and M. Smith scored for Gisborne, and after the interval Miss Morrow scored a good goal for the visitors, and another goal for the Gisborne ladies was added by Miss C. Walters." The game finally ended in favor of the local team by . 3 goals to 1. For. the losers Misses Morrow. Sherratt, Habgood, Craill, and McKenzie played well, while of the Gisborne ladies Misses Moore, Smith, Walters (2), Fromm, and Osborne were about the best. • _ Mr. J. J. Martin capably controlled the game. . . At the conclusion of the game the visitors were entertained at afternoon tea bv tho Gisborne ladies on the ground.
