SEVERE EARTHQUAKE EX.

NO SERIOUS DAMAGE. United Press Association —Copyright SYDNEY, July 24. The steamer Tambo, which has arrived from the Islands, reports that a severe shock of earthquake was experienced at the New Hebrides on June 27. The Tambo vibrated violently from stem to stern. The Islanders attribute the shock to a submarine eruption. There was no serious damage ashore.
