ENTERTAINMENTS.
“EAST LYNNE.” His Majesty’s Theatre was well filled last evening, when Messrs Geach and Marlow's Dramatic Company produced “East Lynne.” The plot of the play is too well known t-o need description, but the drama never fails to draw good houses, because it arouses true human symoathy. and strikes a deeply pathetic note. East evening it was well staged. The cast of characters was a strong one. Mr. Robert Inman played Archibald Carlyle, and gave a fine representation of the part. Miss Maud Appleton was Lady Isabel, and she acted gracefully and feelingly throughout. Mr. Thomas Curran made a good Richard Hare, and Miss Puttie Gourlay caused much laughter as Aunt Cornelia. The other characters were also well represented. ' . The company will leave bv the wname ra this evening for Napier.
