ST. DOMINIC’S SOCIAL.

A GREAT -SUCCESS. One of the most successful socials hold this season was that in aid of St. 'Dominic’s Convent, in His Majesty’s 'Theatre, last evening. Over 150 couples were present, and the assemblage presented a brilliant spectacle. The floor was in excellent order, and the music was all that could be desired. The supper room had been tastefully decorated, and the tables, which were laid but to seat 160 persons, presented a highly attractive appearance. The supper,” which had been provided by a committee of ladies, 'was of admirable quality. Messrs W. Webb and W. Hackott officiated .at M.C.’s, and carried out their duties most efficiently. A special word of praise is due to Mrs. E. Williams, who, as lion'. secrotary, did a great deal towards making the gathering a success. The music was supplied by Messrs Vita Bros:, with Miss Mcllhono at the piano. The funds of St. Dominic’s Convent teliould benefit considerably by the social,.-which exceeded the expectations of those who had organised it.
