CONFERENCE OF MASTERS AND MINERS. FAIL TO AGREE. ' United Press Association— Copyright LONDON, July 28. The conference of sub-committees, representing the Scotch masters and miners failed to agree. The men’s delegates were very determined, owing to the result of the ballot. The employers resolved that no further concession he made. The conference resumes, to-mor-row, Mr Winston Churchill presiding. THE TROUBLE IN SCOTLAND. MINERS’ FEDERATION SUPPORT GENERAL STRIKE. (Received July 29, 9.30 p.m.). LONDON, July 29. A conference of the Miners’ Federation! Scotland, resolved to-day that notice he given in tall districts to. terminate contracts, and cease work at the end of August; also to support the Scottish miners, to the extent of 10s weekly during the preliminary stoppage. ■ The ballot .of members shows 518,261 in favor, of a general stoppage of work, and 62,980 . against.
