GISBORNE CLUB. The members of the Gisborne Bowling Club brought a successful season to a satisfactory close yesterday afternoon. A large number of members and several visitors assembled, on the club’s green for the final games of tlie season,' and had a very pleasant time. The green was in good order, and the play was of a very interesting character, the majority of the games being keenly contested. . . " The following were the players and scores of the principal games:— Bullock, Wilson, Craig, Ponsford (skip) 25 beat H. Miller, W. Morgan, Sawyer, T. A. Crawford (skip) 19. B. Hird, Malcolm, Benzie, F. A. Martin (skip) 24 beat Wootton, Boulton, Ratciiffe, Simson (skip) 17. Seymour, Williams, W. Pettie, Bright (skip) 20 beat Lucas, Harris, Ambyidge, J. J. Martin (skip) 17. Burton, W. R. Clarkson, Eure (skip) 18 beat Bruce, Kyme, Heunessy (skip) 15 F. A. and J. J. Martin 20 beat Ponsford and Simson 16. This game was played after the conclusion of the rink matches, and caused much interest, owing to the high quality of the play shown on both sides, several excellent heads being put lip.
