ROWING.

POVERTY BAY CLUB. There was a large attendance of members at a general committee meeting of the Poverty Bay Rowing Club held in the Cosmopolitan Club last night, and Mr. J. occupied the chair. The meeting dealt with the matter of the erection of the new clubhouse, and other details in connection with the working of the club.

The secretary announced that the debentures which it is intended to issue to the public would be available on Friday next.

A sub-committee consisting of Messrs J. Webb, C. Somervell, W. Hall, J. Stuart, and A. Kirk, was appointed to go into the question of tlie details of, expenditure in connection with the new clubhouse.

The secretary was instructed to write to Mr. Norton, of Wellington, asking quotations for the supply of new single and double sculling boats. It was decided that the club should hold a dance in Whinray’s Hall on August 12th, and that the annual general meeting of the club should take place' on Monday, August sth.
